Long time no write eh?

I always have this vehement empowerment to write (or well, type) when my body decides to shut down, thus physically unfit to move these fingers of mine. Sucks to be me, doesn't it? It sucks to just lie down, eyes closed, but my brain stays wired and keeps running from one thought to another. More than once I've tried taking comfort in knowing that I have NOT lost my writing mojo jojo altogether, that it's still there somewhere, that it is still intact. But then look at what I'm doing now. Struggling to get these words out.

So much self loathing now.

On a brighter note, I'm reporting the brutal demise of an annoying mosquito which I have successfully murdered a few minutes ago. Everyone's invited for the funeral. The more the merrier, and call TV3 crew :)

Alhamdulillah

"They say things happen for reasons. They say hard work pays off. They say time heals. They say things get better. Well, Shahirah, you're about to reveal the veracity in those words tomorrow. Brace yourself." -what I wrote on the day before 21st March '12

Alhamdulillah. I am entirely grateful to Allah for all the things He has blessed me with.

It was a tough battle with my tears when I finally set eyes upon the white piece of paper. And then I looked up, my gaze meeting Mama's watery eyes which were probable imminent broken dams. She held me in her warm embrace. It was almost suffocating. My tudung was ruined. I had no other words except for, "Mama, ni untuk Mama."

And then I was squeezed between Ayah's hands, my head buried in his chest, shielded from the crowd. At that point, I knew the best feeling is being able to see smiles plastered across my parents' faces, knowing the fact that I'm the reason behind the smiles.

Mama & Ayah, that's for you :)

Other than that, honestly I am beyond proud of my friends. Two years of going through bullshit with these awesome people by my side, and now, outstanding results? Major respect goes to each and every one of my friends. Tabik sikit //:)

But then you know how a puzzle is incomplete even if only a single piece is missing? Yes that's probably the most accurate analogy I can come up with right now about not seeing Cikgu Hairulzam, Teacher Norbita, Madam Rohani, Cikgu Mazlina, Atika Safira, Tyra, Nad Pozian, Irdee, Bella rempit, Alan, Hazim and so many others. Sedih sangat, tahu tak Atika? ;(

And of course, this post wouldn't be complete without mentioning the amazing person. You. Am I proud of you? Yes definitely, sumpah tak tipu. Congratulations!! Oh and thank you for your words of wisdom, your advice. I'll keep them nailed on my mind :)

The phase of my school years was wrapped up beautifully. Thank you, God. I'm sure there are lots of other things ahead of me, ahead of all of us. God knows what's best for us so who are we to mess with His plans? Brace yourself everyone. Get ready. Get set. Go.

You'll Never Walk Alone

Liverpool :(

Yesterday was greatly spent that I forgot how to cry. Aqil has his own eccentric ways of taking my mind off of bullshits. There's something in the way he calls me 'Kakak Sia', aww cair hati okay. And maybe it's fair enough to draw this conclusion, Aqil = a little menace who has just got his mouth and has a gazillion things to say to the world but doesn't know which one to say first thus ends up with grammatically incorrect, almost undecipherable sentences that, despite such circumstance, is still able to sustain being adorable at level infinity. Okay maybe that's a bit too long for a definition but takpelah haha :D

Family futsal game last night was fun - Haha this is a statement, coming from someone who didn't actually play but merely watching the game through the viewfinder :P Aqil was beyond delirious as soon as we arrived at the court, his little feet immediately found their ways with the ball. Not much of a football savvy anyway, he doesn't know how to kick the ball. When he got the ball, he picked it up and threw it away. And then off he went to chase the ball. And then he picked it up again. And it went on and on and on. Haha.

And when the game was about to start, I had to take this little boy out of the court. Inilah muka dia bila terpaksa tengok game dari luar court. Kecewa betul

It's inexplicable but I really like this photo.

Meanwhile, disebabkan bdk ni sangat kecewa tak dapat main, terpaksa temankan dia main lari-lari dekat lorong between the courts. Tengoklah muka bahagia tu

Bila game dah habis, player professional semua keluar while the kaki bangku ones baru terhegeh-hegeh nak main for 10 minutes. Comel kan? Haha

And guess who finished one whole bottle of mineral water? Yes, of course, the one who played for 10 whole minutes.

Kenapa Acik Azad and Acik Jali macam nak solat? Hahahahahahaha

Most kids nowadays are too occupied with virtual games that they forgot about the exhilaration of playing real games that actually require them to move their bodies and sweat it out kan? Don't you agree? Kesian.

And why does Blogspot degenerate the quality of my photos? :(

Calling All Cat Lovers!

On Friday (24th February), I finally met my bonda Atika Safira bt Herman Ramli! As promised, first thing first : a hug. Hehe. We went to visit our four-legged friends at SPCA Animal Shelter in Ampang Jaya.

Loud barks welcomed us as we walked past the entrance. And that brown dog (next to Atika) seemed so fond of having visitors coming, he wanted to play with us. Haha. Since we couldn't mingle around with the dogs, we headed straight to the cats section.

That's Milkshake I'm holding, she is one hyperactive kitten.

This is Mufasa, handsome and charming cat.

This doggie was friendly too! He saw me and Atika playing with the cats, and he waited at the gate to see if we were going to play with him as well. Aww

Milkshake

Yang ni dah macam suami isteri, I wanted to open the gate but they meowed back in fury. Haha :P

Henna loves Atika's lap.

This one over here is Espresso! Ni baru betul malu malu kucing nak ambik gambar.

Espresso has a hole on her right ear, I don't know why.

Yang ni mcm ada social anxiety problem sikit, haha. She wouldn't let us near her, but she kept meowing to play with us.

Sagwa sleeping, you should see how she looked like when I woke her up! Sumpah muka grumpy gilaaa hahaha

Espresso on my lap, Sagwa trying to kiss Atika.

Espresso is pregnant. She loves my lap so much that she wouldn't lift her ass off. Very manja one.

Sabariah

Little gift from the cats, apart from the great memories, is their fur. On Atika's tshirt

And mine

The felines are such adorable sweethearts! Seeing them in such dire need of tender, love and care just rips my heart apart :( Mufasa, Milkshake, Sabariah, Espresso, Sagwa and Henna are the names that we managed to come up with, yes we were the ones who gave names to them :D

"Of all domestic animals the cat is the most expressive. His face is capable of showing a wide range of expressions. His tail is a mirror of his mind. His gracefulness is surpassed only by his agility. And, along with all these, he has a sense of humour." -Walter Chandoha

Done playing with our feline friends, we went back to Atika's apartment where Atika's mum cooked for us! Hihi. Melon juice, nasi goreng, Jesnita, duck face, Atika's comfortable lap to lie on, 'oh God, why..', it was a wonderful day. Even though at one point when Atika asked me 'What happened?' I was so close to losing control of my emotions, I vowed to myself not to spoil the day with a single tear :)

You know I love you, Atika hihi

Today's great revelation : Me and Atika's mum are of the same height! Muehehe :D
